Location: Bartos Screening Room

Introduced by cinematographer Mia Cioffi Henry

Dir. Eva Victor. 2025. 103 minutes. U.S. DCP. With Eva Victor, Naomi Ackie, Lucas Hedges, John Carroll Lynch, Louis Cancelmi, Kelly McCormack. Something bad happened to Agnes. But life goes on… for everyone around her, at least. When a beloved friend visits on the brink of a major milestone, Agnes starts to realize just how stuck she’s been, and she begins to work through how to move forward. This unabashedly frank portrait of how a person learns to live with a thing that you can’t actually get over is also often surprisingly, transcendently funny. Writer, director, and star Eva Victor—in an auspicious triple-threat debut—upends the way we usually tell stories of trauma. Produced by Barry Jenkins, Adele Romanski, and Mark Ceryak of Pastel (Moonlight, Aftersun) and the winner of the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival.
