Fight for Your Right to Party

Fight for Your Right to Party is a lively celebration of the right to vote and early voting for the 2025 Primary Elections in New York City. Museum of the Moving Image is an early voting site.

In celebration of Pride Month, this concert event will feature a variety of performances by members of the LGBTQIA+ community, including drag queen Freeda Kulo, musician Jerome Jordan, and rapper Audry Funk with DJ Kaykay47. Sunnyside Community Services will be available to answer any questions about the voting process. 


About the performers and musicians: 

Freeda Kulo is a triple crown Queen that hails from Queens, New York, and proudly celebrates her Latinx Heritage. She recently stepped down from the title of Miss Paradise; but more than just beauty, she also has a huge heart and utilized her platform to showcase diverse Drag talent. She has performed all over the Tri-state area and internationally including Canada, Colombia and Sicily. Blending a style of drama, dance and comedy, she is sure to captivate you with her class and a whole lot of sass. If she were on The Real Housewives, her tagline would be: “I may be Mexican, but my dreams won’t be trumped!” 

Audry Funk, Audry Bustos Díaz, is a singer-songwriter, MC, and activist born in Puebla, Mexico. Residing in The Bronx, New York, she has an international presence in the independent music industry for twenty years. She is considered as one of the most important exponents of Hip-Hop in Spanish, she has been featured with various artists and producers from all over the world, such as Víctor Murillo, Rebeca Lane, Linda Chichester, Comagatte, Medusa, Lirosse, among others. Her music has spotlighted in Latino Rebels, BBC, The Guardian and VICE. 

DJ Kaykay47 is an international DJ and community organizer from The Bronx who boldly creates passion and joy through movement. In 2022, she founded “Girls DJ Too,” a program that provides access to DJ workshops for girls and women in The Bronx. Kaykay integrates personal development with hip-hop culture, utilizing DJing as an outlet for young people and adults to express themselves freely while creating a sense of community. 

Jerome Jordan has been a guitarist, vocalist and producer in various NYC underground music scenes over the last few decades. His sound is a blend of psychedelic, futuristic funk, improvisational punk rock and electronic, sonic explorations.
